Content We Love #1: Know the Basics of Vitamins


The below video is super concise (short but very informative), extremely cute and fun, and is definitely a good starting point for any of us to get some insights about the vitamins we get from our food everyday. Since we were talking about coffee and calories, all food-related topics, we shouldn't skip vitamins :)



Watch this and take note of these things:

  • What are fat-soluble vitamins? Water-soluble vitamins? What are the differences between the two (including differences in transporting and storing within our bodies)? Remember that blood plasma is water-based (Hint!).
  • What are the primary functions (the most prominent) of each type of vitamins?
  • Further research: What are some main health problems associated with the deficiency of each type of vitamins (the video gives a very general sense, so you may need to search for this to further understanding)?
  • Remember: water-soluble vitamins need to be replenished daily!
